I have an acer 23" hdmi input monitor and I love it. And acer has an excellent quality record. And it was only $230 from newegg.. I don't know how much your's is but its probably a little more... With Acer you don't really end up paying for the name.

I'd say go for it, the problem is you don't know how long it will run and they're going to be expensive to fix, you'll probably end up buying more than one. If one dies it'll be cheaper to buy another and then you'll be stuck in a never-ending chain of trash and buys.

I'm pretty sure Gamestop would take legal action if you gave them a RROD system with you having knowledge of that. They're D-Bags like that. I'd just trash it and move on. Or there are some people that will take it. They take dead systems, restore them and sell them.

60 gig is backwards compatible right? I'd go with the backwards compatible refurb... Sony knows what they're doing when they refurb. My only regret with ps3 is that I didn't get a backwards compatible one, I have an 80.

Mine's on all day everyday, comes on around 12, goes off around 2am. It auto-offs every now and then when I do other things but they are built to last.
