Please!

Can we have an end to the 'i can't afford games, but i want games to play' threads?

This is supposed to be a forum about PC gaming. Not a lack of funds thread.

Either keep to your console, ask dad for more money or, please, juststfu.OMG i could SCREAM!

No problems with games for me.RK-Mara

yeah. sure. I have vista32 on my computer and my experience is that about 50% (that's right 1 out of 2) do not work. Oh, they might run for a few minutes, but invariably crash (or as Vista puts it: stopped responding). Very sad.

Yes. they've been patched to the latest version and yes, I have all the latest drivers installed.

Some of the offenders: Stalker, ARMA, Silent Hunter 1701 A.D, Titan Quest, CoH.

To be fair, these work: CC3, SupCom, LOTRO, TR Aniversary, Overlord, Oblivion and The Movies.

No. Not at all.

There's not really a coherent story anyway. Play HL2 and go with the flow.

Im guessing they (Will) realized there's no there there.

Without game play, can you call it a game? I've wondered all along how much fun a game like this could be. I doubt it will ever be released.

The question I have is when will the PS3 show its (supposed) muscle? Although the current PS3 games are nice, they are nothing compared to current high-end PC games. Is this because the developers out there don't yet have the development tools to create awesomeness? Or, as some have suggested, (which I don't buy) the platform is too complex and too scary for developers to work with? A combination of both? Or...or...what?

Why haven't we seen anything thatwould make you say: Wow. That's awesome!

Good question. TNTC (pathology acronym for Too numerous to count). The ones which come to mind:

Dungeon Lords (ack!)

Gothic 3

Vista (ok, not a game, but makes most games sux since games generally won't run on it.)

(I'll update later after a look through my sh** pile at home.)

LOTRO suites me better. Better story, lore and graphics (by a mile).

Generally, they are pretty similar in design: weak crafting, easy leveling, no economy to speak of. Once cool feature of LOTRO is the instanced action sequences.

It works for me. The only realy pain is having to run everywhere. Mounts are rentable, but expensive and personal mounts are at lvl35 and epic mounts at lvl40, I believe.

It's just nice to have an alternative to WoW.

I generally like Gamerankings.com It has a summary of reviews for games on all platforms.

However, on more than one occasion, visiting this website has resulted in trojans attempting to be installed on my computer. For example, when I visited this site today, my virus scanner alerted me to 3 trojan attacks: CSRSA.EXE, love.exe and WindowsHelp.exe. Lucky for me, I have on-demand virus scanning enabled.

So, be forewarned: visiting this site is hazardous to your computer (unless you have active virus scanning enabled.)
