1. FAR better celebrations for breaking records, winning divisions, winning big games/comebacks, winning championships.

Honestly almost ALL sports games have sucked at this for DECADES now..even games in other genres as well.

Do game developers just feel we like spending hundreds of hours playing these games, then have some cheesy static screen or BLAHHH animation of players just bouncing around on mound for like 15 seconds? So I just played 162 games and REALTIME months of the game FOR THAT? Such a huge letdown.

How about distinctive celebrations for each team?? How about some wilder celebrations for teams in cities that havent won in a while (whether real or in your particular franchise play)?

Game developers have skimped on endings of games for YEARS now and really poorly when it comes to sports games.

2. Add more pitch varieties. Here are a few:

a.Instead of just sinker...add HEAVY sinker ala Kevin Brown, Jack Morris  of 80s and 90s.

b. Add the Greg Maddux type "swingback" fastball that he patented in 90s. The 2 seam fastball is close if ya tweak it right with certain pitchers and delivers, but still not the same as Maddux's classic pitch. He just flat out baffled dudes for nearly 20 years with that mid 80s speed pitch. The Screwball also isnt the same as that pitch, though ya can get it close enough if ya tweak the speed/break/delivery with certain pitchers.

c. Make the knuckleball more effective in the game. Its almost worthless in its current state.

d. EEphus pitch - why not

They fixed the stuff I wanted a few years ago.

I wanted to be able to play any franchise season game during the year at any stadium I chose (like MVP 2005 did YEARS ago) and MLB Show creators finally gave that to us in 2010 game.

Wanted realistic strikeouts by MY pitchers as well as be able to draw realistic amount of walks by MY batters...and I can do that with the numerous tweaks of the slider settings.

I could honestly play MLB the show 12 (or even 11) for 8-10 years and not be mad.

OKAY if I HAD to have something.

1. Give me EVEN MORE new stadiums. Heck create some that arent even real and let ya choose from them. The game of baseball is different based on what stadium teams play in. We all get caught up in cyber-nerd baseball stats, but we forgot just how simple something as outfield dimensions/wall height/shape effects a game. Love variety of stadiums.

2. Have a bat speed setting. Different players would have widely different bat speed skills, which would effect how soon/late they could swing and still get hits/homers. Bat speed would diminsh with age, just like in real life.

3. Let users create their own stadium. Has only been done effectively in a couple video games I can remember last 20 years. Cant be that hard a feature to implement...can it????

4. Allow players to play as long as they want...49-60...just have their skills diminish accordingly.

5. Have player/manager argue feature like in MVP 2005. Maybe ya lose players to ejections for multiple games.

6. More "personality" when it comes to players/teams. Let users have slider settings for each player to make em a hothead who goes for extra base when not necessary, strikeout chasing homers, argue with umps...etc.

7. Have managers/coaches impact the game more. Just doesnt feel like their is much of a difference between the different teaams ya play during the season. I play ALL 162 games of a season over the course of months, so would add some variety to game.

8. Let ya play with players with minor injuries...with the effects noticeable...manageable for certain injuries.

So really I dont need any major tweaks, just stuff that makes the game even more authentic to real baseball and not feel so robotic/stat engine feel.

Thats why hardcore games STILL love MVP 2005 so much. It felt like a real baseball game, from presentation to playing, to the physics of it. Nothing felt as good as  slapping a ball the other way in MVP 2005. Too many times in the SHOW I still feel the ball just goes wherever the computer engine wants it to go based on some program calculation. Give users more control even with regular button controls. I DONT NEED to have to flick the analog stick in 12 directions to just throw a pitch or hit. Just make the regular buttons more smooth and give great user control.
