As long as i'm not forced to buy it I don't care what add-ons they announce. I hope MS and Sony are going to maket these like their camera add-ons, and not as something that should be implemented in all games.

Kotaku just broke that in the PS3 version of Arkham Asylum you'll be able to DL challenge levels where the Joker is a playable character. Thoughts on how this might escalate capturing DLC content as the new form of exclusives?

I agree with a lot of people in this thread that there are too many of the same games between 360 and PS3. That is why you should buy a SNES instead. Only makes sense.

Well he's right. Computers started out only displaying on 4:3. That is standard. HD came up later. HD is just an enhancement.

MOCHIRON_MAN

HD has nothing to with the proportianality of a screen...its in the amount of pixels being displayed....All PC monitors have been able to display a resolution higher than 720p for around 6 years now.

There is not a PC gamer in exsistance that is not playing in HD.

Yah right. I don't play in HD and theres lots of other people who don't.

Just to poke the bear a little bit more, could you explain how you (and lots of others) don't play in HD on your computer?

Noone has, actually.

800 dollars can get you a pretty nice system.

mobo

Processor

GPU

HDD

RAM

PSU

CD Drive

Vista

all comes to roughly $770 USD, you can spend about 20-40 bucks on a new heatsink, soundcard or extra fans if desired.

SearchMaster

Also note that for $25 more you can get a Q6600,,,its worth the extra cash really!

Yeah, with this difference, i would go with the q6600 for sure so you wont have to worry about your cpu future-proof anytime soon

Actually, the Q6600 is the same price as the E8400. http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0257938

Hello, so I'm going to be building a new comp pretty soon here so I've been trying to gather a list of what I want in it. I've kinda come across a problem about how much memory to buy. I was planning on picking up this set of 2x2GB but couldn't decide if I should get four instead for a total of 8GB.

I'm not really planning on doing a lot of video/audio editing so I know 8GB might be a tad overkill for the current market of games, but I was going to pick up the 64x version of Vista and heard that it would make use of it all.

I guess my questions are:

1. Would I notice a considerable performance jump in terms of gaming and multi-tasking from 4GB to 8GB or would it just be a waste for now?

2. If the concensus is that 8GB is a waste now, should I just get the 32x vista or would 64x perform better? (I thought I read at tomshardware that at 4GB it would be a coin flip in terms of which version to pick because they would both do things faster, but I'm not entirely sure I'm remembering that right)

If it helps to know my comp will probably look something like this: E8400, 8800 GTS (G92), and a Gigabyte P35-DS3L, and I'll be OC'ing both the cpu and gpu.

Thanks for the help!

(sorry if this has been asked into the ground, but I did a search and couldn't find much on the topic)
