Internet speed doesn't affect latency that much. It's usually the proximity of the server that counts (the closer - the better). Anyway, 1,5 megs is more than enough fo WoW, but my personal opinion - there's no such thing as too much speed :) So if you can afford 3 megs - go for it.

IMO when I was reading a book I couldn't get rid of impression that this was a video game scenario, so the base material is great. The only thing to worry about is developers who might mess it up technically.

P.S. The book itself is a graphomanic piece of crap, but for anyone who is really into post-nuclear fantasy (like me) it's an absolute must-read. I'm not sure though that it was translated to english.
