Hi, I've never played a combat flight sim in my life. what is the best game to start with? I dont care if its a plane or a chopper - i just want it to be fairly easy, and with a good tutorial for noobs. I tried Il 2 Sturmovik, but it was too complicated and had the crappiest tutorials ever, so i'd like something easier than that.

thank for any advice

Giants was undoubtfully funny, but it was too hard (no saves) and hella boring towards the end (where you play as the giant).

Peole that said Half Life or FEAR - are you for real or is it sarcasm? cuz if you are serious - well, you sure aint seen what a good story is.

As for my games- Torment, Baldur's Gate, and FF7.

Among the shooters - Max Payne and Tribes:Vengeance

Divine divinity is like diablo.

You can also try Blade of Darkness. solid game a-la dark messiah.

Anyway, to check whether a game is top-down or first-person you can just look at the screenshots...

Yes, Diablo2 contains 0% RPG elements... (not that it makes it a bad game).

but how could you give Morrowind '9'? Yes, it's a free roaming game, but not even close to the depth of fallout and baldur's gate, let alone Torment.

And lemme add a few games:

Divine Divinity - 3

Gothic - 5

Some role playing games are deep, and some concentrate on action. We can all agree (I hope) that the RPG that offers most action is Diablo, and the one that offers most role-playing is Planescape: Torment.

If Diablo gets '1' in RPG content, and Torment gets '10', lets rate all other RPGs according to the role playing experience they provide.

note: those ratings aren't scores; they just represent how deep the game actually is.

I'll start:

Oblivion - 4

Baldur's gate - 6

Fallout -8
