Question, since violent games arent sold to children (they are sold to irresponsible parents of children, who then give call of duty to their 11 year old) why the hell are we researching this? Videogames dont make me go out and kill people, anymore than 50 shades of gray makes me go out and rape women. Stupid, "knee-jerk" reactions of politicians trying to secure their chair for next year. How about we fine parents caughtgiving tthey're child violent games, starting with the Senate's and house reps children. Just a thought, since I know they wont pass that, they might face some fines....

Glad to see so many people understanding thats its ultimately the parents responsibility to stay informed of the media their child is enjoying.Since all companies already face a fine from 2500 dollars to 50000 dollars for the unlawful selling of a videogame to a minor, I fail to see how this will impact a law that is already in effect.I am tired of parents that buy their child m rated games, then deny any responsiility when that child steals a car to feel gangster. These parents should face the fine, along with their child. They should also be remanded to take a parenting class at a local community college, at the parents expense of course. Maybe then we'll see a decrease in the raging 13 year olds on CoD, halo, and battlefield.videogames still fall under the category of "media" and all media is protected under the constitution.

lol I get pulling them because childrenildren of all ages are at rest stops, but then why leave the racing games at a HIGHWAY rest stop? by the same logic, that need for speed arcade game can make a trucker put his foot Down on that pedal. violence has been around longer than videogames, and if your children can't make a distinction between the games and life, then that say a lot about your parenting skills doesn't it. why buy a 13 year old a m rated game...
