try as I might I cannot get a list of shooter games pc games from the search area on the site. It's on the PC check, date is set from 7/13/2017 to Aug 14 2018 check, set it for shooter, check., and gamespot rating of at least 5 check. hit refresh or even just hit enter on the shooter or whatever . what I get is a LONG list of games of all types for all platforms. what is wrong with this web sites game search I've been a GameSpot member for a REAL long time. even longer that it gives credit for because of a very old update where they changed the names and messed up. It's been over a year since I've been able to get on and man has there been changes but I need to see what i out there and sifting thru over 5200 games isn't going to happen. If I'm posting to the wrong spot please forgive me and point me to where I can address this issue. thank you aminal_basic

First time I've played Dead island in over a year-My 2nd time around and I've lost 3 weapons-all really good ones. I go back to the last check point and still my weapons are gone. I am not playing a game that items dissapear in. I did NOT have this problem back then. and no I did not leave them behind after picking another up I had at least 2 open slots each time :(

No one has any idea? Well anyway I tried :(. I just need one that will last for a year or so. and Please no Pioneer's unless it's an older modl because their quality has really gone dowm :( .

I'm trying to find a good Double Layer burner that won't crap out soon after I start using it.

I bought 2 multi-format burners. 1 sony and 1 HP. I've been using them now for about

6 months and now neither will burn double layer discs.

I've burning at 2 speed even to get them to work but I have more fails than the occasional one that works.

I am using Verbatim discs which are one of the best so I need a bette burner!

Please help me out here.

I tried to download FarCry 2 patch 1.03 and also Mass Effect 1.01a and both times whwen I git the download button all I got for my troubles is a game guide pdf file for that game. I'm using Mozilla 3.011 and it makes no difference if I use IE because I tried that also. It also does it in XP as well as Vista as I tried them both ( I have a dual Boot computer) . Does anyone have any ideas? Please help?? Thank you,

PS in your Read here - it still talks about the gamespot download manager, I've no idea why that is still there as the manager is now defunct!

I honestly don't know, Where would I look to see if it already is installed? Ther is so much i don't know about operating system software. I'm better with hardware.

I just now put Vista on a new gaming rig I made. I guess it could be better but It is what I could afford to make. I made a SLI system with a Asus p5n-E SLI motherboard, 2 NVidea 6800 Video cards with 512 memory a Soundblaster gaming Pro Platinum 2 multi dvd/cdr's 6 gig ram 800 watt power supply 2 hdd's a 500 and 750 gig. and it's a dual Operating system, WinXP Pro and Win Vista Ultimate. It has a 2.44 Quad core cpu. Beats my old Dell 8100 Dimension by a mile and I like it so far.

My question is this. For my WinVista what Direct X is best the SDK,DirectX 10 or DirectX 9.0C. I just installed COD 4 and 5 and am about to install Gears of War and Halo The Vista one. But I really do need to know what to put so I can play these at their best.:oops:
