clearly not worth the 219.99 it should of been 199.99

Considering that a 3DS XL is 199.99 retail and that a seperate copy of AC: NL is 34.99, you are still saving money.

Being a huge Animal Crossing fan, I don't think there is a better time to upgrade to a 3DS XL then in June.

What do you guys think of the bundle?

I said this exact things months ago

Yes it should, Nintendo has failed it's early adopters, they've apologized many times but there's nothing happening.

I understand that we still have E3 to anticipate as well as Pikmin 3 which will be the newest first party title since launch. I just think that we should have something to tide us over in the meantime, because in regards to the release schedule for the system itself, it's looking quite, well, empty.

Quick update guys, apparently not only are there no lobbies in only multiplayer in the Wii U version, but also the Wii U version is not compatible with the iOS application that allows you to earn extra unlockables for the game.. Wow.

If they did it for the 3DS, I have no idea how they couldn't do it for the Wii U given the abysmal timeframe since launch.TxTech1923
I think if Nintendo did have an Ambassador's Program, the best place to announce it would be at E3 and I think that's their strategy. To let the Wii U hang back a bit, then come E3, completely turn the tables. If this is their strategy, then it's incredibly ballsy and if the tides turn in our favor, I'll commend Nintendo more for it.

I don't think it's dead, far from it. Yes, I think that all Wii U owners such as myself feel a discertainty, but this same type of situation happened with the 3DS and now it's one of the top gaming handhelds on the market. I think that this is just a slow start for the Wii U, I think when Pikmin 3 comes out, that'll be the killer app that will encourage people to buy the console.

You are also forgetting about E3 and what Nintendo will announce, they could very well announce a price cut among other things, along with new entries in their franchises. I think if Nintendo was getting worried about the system, Miyamoto, Reggie and Iwata wouldn't have made the statements they did. I think they know that they still have much more of the Wii U to show, they're just waiting to pull the big guns at E3.

Also, I don't think people should listen to analysts like Pachter, they're just that, analysts. They aren't official spokespeople for the companies and ultimately, the only reason that people are shouting doomsday is because we haven't grasped the full potential of the console yet. I think it's all a matter of just waiting and seeing what happens. If Nintendo had nothing to announce at E3, I think we should be worried, but in the mean time, just hang tight.

The situation with the Wii U is more or less like the situation with the Nintendo 3DS during it's launch. The amount of games for the system was not the greatest, Nintendo solved this issue with the Ambassador's Program, which provided Nintendo 3DS owners with exclusive content. This not only increased sales but it gave 3DS owners content that to this day regular 3DS owners still do not have.

I think that Nintendo should announce a similar incentive with the Wii U, while the fluctuation of games is starting to kick in, there's still not really a killer app for the system and not enough interest in the system itself. An Ambassador's Program would increase interest and increase the incentive to buy the console and it would make current Wii U owners feel, well, special.

Do you guys think that an Ambassador's Program would help the Wii U?

Not really having any doubts since I knew what I was getting into with this one. More just annoyed I have gotten nothing I want to play yet since launch games. The latest game I got was Toki Tori 2 just because Toki Tori is awesome (and the game is cheap), but before then launch games is all I had.

There's only so much Nintendoland and NSMBU you can play before you just want something new.

I purchased the Wii U in November, I quickly grew found of it, especially at how much potential it presented. The Off-Screen TV Play, Miiverse etc. All of that quantified a unique gaming experience that made quite an impression on me.

Then the drought came, for a long time I didn't have anything to play, however, I still remained persistant, hopeful that maybe, just maybe, something good will come out of all this waiting. Then finally in March, Lego City Undercover and Monster Hunter came out, I had a lot of fun with these games but ultimately I feel like the only one in my area that has one.

Then the negativity started to drown in, sales aren't great, third party developers avoid the Wii U like it's made of poison, I just couldn't understand it. Why, after buying every single Nintendo console since the N64, did I start to feel melancholic about my purchase?

Now I'm not saying the system is bad, I think it's great. But I don't think Nintendo is making that much effort in trying to spread the word, hell, I've been trying to use word of mouth to get people to even consider buying the machine. However, even in March when a new fluctuation of games came in, the sales, at least in North America, don't seem to be imporving.

Anyone else starting to have doubts about their purchase?
