I've had my Wii U since the 19th and whenever I turn on the system I still see the default nintendo miis, is there something else you have to do to turn it on? Btw, I am connected to the internet and I can access all the online required apps, just not WaraWara.

Do you guys remember the Battalion Wars series? The real time tactical strategy game that was essentially the GameCube and Wii versions of Advance Wars? Well what if they made the 3rd game for the Wii U, and allow us to use the GamePad as a map, as well as using the stylus to command our troops' movements and to set up an airstrike, that'd be amazing :)

On my Facebook yesterday I posted about how I got the Wii U and I was looking forward to playing it, of course there's always that one guy who thinks he's so smart and likes to post completely stupid comments. Basically, he complained about how Nintendo took so long to go HD and you know the rest, then a friend of mine came on to my status and posted that graphics don't make the console; gameplay does. He was completely right. The problem that I had with the Wii besides the lack of third-party support was the fact that going from my Xbox 360 to my Wii wasn't always the best experience, with the Wii U I no longer have that problem, but then I started to realize that as long as I was having fun, it didn't matter about a texture here or a texture there, it mattered if I felt that my purchase was entitled as worth spending the money. Needless to say, the Wii U does upscale the graphics of Wii games, but all in all, I'm having a blast with my console and I think that the GamePad alone is revolutionary, being able to use it as a universal remote, being able to play my game on the controller while someone uses the TV, being able to video chat with my controller, the built in microphone, the inclusion of NFC, the 60 frames per second on games that only the Wii U can do. All those things and more are next-gen worthy in itself, so yeah, Nintendo did take a long time to catch up graphically, but they were smart to not focus primarily on it, whether anyone likes it or not, the Wii U is just getting started.

Got my deluxe console at Fry's in Wilsonville, OR yesterday, they had a special bundle that included a controller and nunchuck and Super Mario Bros. U which I was extremely happy about. I love how you can use your GamePad as a universal remote, I loved tinkering with my TV and seeing what the GamePad could do. I'm looking forward to the Thanksgiving weekend so that I can play the games with my little cousins.

Don't worry, it's only launch, there will be tons of games coming out and eventually, you'll find that one game that'll make you go wow :P Personally, I bought it for the Nintendo IP's and I'm really looking forward to Pikmin 3 :)
