STAR WARS: We had Leia...a tough, independent strong female lead that NOBODY had an issue with. She was captured, man-handled, imprisoned, swept off her feet and ended up commanding a rebel fleet. Awesome story and character development!
Then we had Rey! A 90lb chick who had never touched a lightsaber beating a Sith Lord. Wow....believable! NOT! So let's see...Solo is dead, Skywalker is dead, Kylo Ren is dead and I hear Finn is an idiot (any other strong male leads left?)! And you have Kathleen Kennedy herself saying that they don't need anymore "white Jedis" in the SW universe (nah, no politics there)!
SPARTACUS: We had Navea...an 80lb waif slave girl that abhorred violence. THEN the producers decided to suddenly turn her into a fierce, bad*ss warrior, killing well-trained gladiators three times her size with ease! Wow..believable! NOT!
FEAR THE WALKING DEAD: Then there's Madison...good old Madison! A 100lb mother who went from a housewife to now a :Warrior Indian Chief, Weapons Expert, Bomb Tech, MMA fighter, Sniper, Military Tactician, Medic, Truck Driver, Mechanic, Survival Expert, etc. Wow....believable...NOT!
COMMERCIALS: If you haven't noticed....men are constantly being portrayed as bumbling IDIOTS in commercials now, and the woman is always the hero!
And I can go on and on and on!!! I don't think ANYONE cares about strong female leads....but for the love of whatever pagan god you believe in.....MAKE IT BELIEVABLE!!! NO MORE MARY SUES!!!

@MarcRecon: EXCELLENT POINT!!! I also notice that they're trying to shut us down by saying we're (insert favorite "phobe" or "ist" comment here). Well I say screw that!! NOBODY had a problem with Leia being a strong woman in the SW universe! She just didn't go around killing guys twice her size without ever getting touched!! PLUS, there was a terrific storyline around her. What they're doing these days is just UTTERLY unbelievable!!! Hell....I'll accept ALL of this PC/SJW crap the day we let females play in the NFL. Do that with no changes in the rules, and THEN I'll reconsider my stance! Until then....stop forcing your fantasy delusions of gender strength equality down our throats!!
@ahmetxca: Where's Joel? Gone dude!!! There's no more room in this world for strong male characters! Don't you realize that strong male characters are being written out of video games, movies, books, commercials, etc.? I mean seriously....you haven't noticed that yet? "The Last Jedi" should've been your first clue! Sorry....Joel has been discarded into the ash heap of male leads.
