@bledsoe45sbc more like oil reserve speculations. Since almost EVERYTHING we use comes from oil, and that includes transporting of clothing/food. The more our population grows the worse it will get. Part of the other issue is that oil companies are no longer nationally bound, they are global.
@mjswooosh @bledsoe45sbc @bunchanumbers Valve and Apple in the same sentence makes me cringe. :P Although Valve has brought more people into PC gaming via their new sales (holiday, weekend, midweek) They originally created it as a DRM for Half-Life. I hated it when it released, but when they started to add GAMES instead of just mods for HL2, I started to promote it, and still to this very day.
@ @racerxgundam In the modern consumer electronics world of the USA. :P An IBM compatible computer back in the early days did not come with a sound card, game card, CD-ROM, software, etc you had to literally build the thing, and buy the related software such as the OS, word processing software, etc, It was later on that IBM compatibles came with recovery disks and integrated soundcards, that the issue became much more "user friendly" and drove down computer prices.
@mjswooosh @Alkpaz True it then becomes more a niche group. But, the same could be said for people who like to work on vehicles. Most people would go to a mechanic for simple fixes rather than figuring it out on their own. It's the whole "I've got better things to do" mentality.
@racerxgundam @mjswooosh If you opened up the 360 and reseated the processor then the RROD would be solved. there is one error that could not be fixed "manually", I forgot the error code. :/ But, pre-built PCs also have these issues.
@berserker66666 @gaming_binge I like the good o'l days where people only worried about getting eaten by some animal or where they were going to kill something for food.
