Personally I never heard of a pedophile woman, but it most certainly exists, it would require a surgical operation that implies removing the womb and ovaries.
There are simple ways to determine if a person has sexual behavior towards children, science can achieve that just fine, these impulses can't be control conscientiously.
Yeah you're right, after years in prison they will go out happier than ever and never think about children again, because everyone knows that prison cure people from illness.
Okay, like smokin_ganja implied, lets say that your daughter got raped by a pedophile, you'd like him to go out after 20 years and still do the same things? Plus with all the abuse that occurred in prison, he will mostly be even worst than when he came in.
Like I said, until the neuroscience evolves to a point where the chemical reaction that occurs in the brain could be treated, there's no best option. Prison is just a temporary one that make people even worst.
Thank you for correcting me, as you see my english is limited.
But my point is that prison may be a temporarily "good" option, but doesn't change the fact that when they got out, they have still the same problem then before, and might be even worse with all the abuse they suffer behind the bars, so nobody is winning in this situation.
And yeah, castration is a permanent solution and chances for recurrences are pretty low, compared to anything else.
Well you are assuming wrong. Whatever the laws are dictating about this subject, the fact is still the same; someone having sexual ideas towards minors.
First I mentioned the harshness the kind was treated with like he was a criminal that raped and murdered someone, still like I said, he is mostly mentally ill and there's nothing to reproach him for these matters.
Most of them simply can't control themselves while knowing what they're doing is wrong and unacceptable, but when their sexual thoughts take over their judgment, which happens a lot more than you think, they can't do nothing against that.
And letting them the choice of prison or castration is theirs, it is way more human they delaying the problem until they got out of the prison and still having themselves to live with their thoughts and acts.
@M4j0rTr4g3dy Maybe, but that's why people are hating on CoD, three games later and it is still this one who is better, you know why? Because they brought something new from CoD4, which is really not that much, but still more than the three last games
"Child pornography", what do you want more, images?
So you think putting a man in prison for something he has no control on it is more acceptable than letting him having to choose what he wishes to do with his life?
Prison will have no other impacts on his live than negatives one, it is purely a waste of taxes and this is inhuman to put beings in cages with psychopaths that literally cannot be treated and still they will be released and still be a problem for everyone.
Well either remove his rights to freedom in an asylum, a prison or remove his sexual pulses which are clearly directed to children, I think with all these options you are removing something from an human being, and the lesser would be castration.
Since they will be able to live a normal life and still feel love, so there's still choices for them to be happy. At least they should have the choice, instead of forcing them into prison where nothing will be benefit for anyone.
Though I agree they are all wrong in a way, but until neuroscience evolves to a point where the brain could be "treated" from these, there's not much choice around.
