[QUOTE="princeofshapeir"] Not even out yet, kiddo.princeofshapeir

That wasn't what you said though.

Maybe if you had said fastest selling game this year so far, I could let it slide.

Fastest-selling game this year is Diablo 3's title because no other game has outsold it yet this year. It's simple.

So your point is: the more it sells the better the game is? sure, let's all praise the CoD series for its sales then, the cancer that's killing FPS. If postal 3 sold as much, would you be prasing it as well? Please. I can't tell if that was an argument or a cop out. Or a troll.

You're a moron. Vivendi and Activision merged, but Blizzard Entertainment is still separate from Activision and retains its original design teams. This myth that Blizzard has been destroyed by Activision the same way Bioware was ruined by EA is patently absurd.princeofshapeir

Right, original design teams that still follow parameters established by their bosses. Design teams are not independent, son.

But the output from Blizzard since the Activision merger has been consistent. The only new thing are the addition of more paid services in WoW and expansion of BNet.

It's consistent because it has to be. Obviously they won't fix what's not broken release wise. Changes do not occur from one day to another.

Blizzard Entertainment and Activision are separate entities. Why is this hard for people to understand?argetlam00

Blizzard is part of Activision, therefore they're seeking nothing but profit, gameplay and depth are left behind in order to please younger and wider audiences therefore they don't make games, they play big business. Why is this so hard for people to understand? This has happened with Westwood, Microprose, Interplay and many other companies.

People care what Gamespot scores a Blizzard game?

argetlam00

Why not?

Because its like caring what a kindergardener rated SC2. Gamespot shouldn't even review PC games IMO. We have our own communities. For instance, the ONLY opinion that matters about SC2 is teamliquid. If teamliquid didnt like SC2 then it wouldn't matter one bit if every critic on the planet gave the game 10/10 and game of the generation awards. Wouldn't change the fact that the game is **** Same thing with Diablo 3. Doesn't matter at all what gamespot gives it.

This man is a certified video game specialist, let's all hear him say what has to be reviewed by whom and whatnot.

Didn't play its full version, but the demo was very good, I also liked its mocking reference towards corrupt leftist banana republic regimes, very nice. Graphics wise it was good too. Didn't play Tropico 4.

That's the point. Nobody cares about it. Just the graphics.

I care about gameplay. But graphics have always mattered. Since the beginning of gaming. It's a topic that will never fall. :|

But they're not as important as gameplay is.

[QUOTE="GioVela2010"] PC is perfect for poor people mitu123

Seriously I don't understand why everyone says consoles are for peasants, it's more expensive, PC is the cheapest form of gaming and doubles as an office.

I'm rich so I can afford to indulge my preferences.

If I was poor I'd only have a PC.

It's mainly due to PC gaming hardware...

hahahah Next-Gen dual GeForce cards are cheaper than vegetables as well.

Aritificaldifficulty. Aritifical difficulty everywhere.

Wasdie

Good or bad?

Bad, bad bad bad.

Modifying the accuracy of weapons to make them useless, giving the enemy a massive line of sight and a lot of health, and giving you barely any supplies isn't difficulty, it's pure bs.

CoP was good without the nerfing of its weapons, what it really lacked was replayability and harder quests. Not "hardcore" mods.

[QUOTE="Frozzik"]Blizzard is simply moving with the times. Their games are designed to appeal to the wider audience. I'm all for it, I loved Starcraft 2, I enjoy WoW and played it at launch. I love Diablo 3. I think they have done a great job. At the end of the Day they can't please everyone, looking at the sales, 6.5 million in a week, there is bound to be many who are disappointed. If they kept it like 1 and 2 thousands would complain it hasn't changed enough, just like with Starcraft 2. They change it and the fans all kick off its not like the good old days. Seems to me Blizzard are a victim of their own success. So they do what they can to appeal to as many as they can. The result is a vast majority of happy gamers. Or maybe I'm just talking **** lolprinceofshapeir

Blizzard always changed with the times, Diablo 1 was a hack-n-slash innovation that spawned a lot of copy-cats. World of Warcraft at the time was a refreshing and well executed MMO that put together the best features of all other MMOs at the time and made them better. These were games made by gamers for gamers, now everything feels dumbed down to the lowest common denominator. Now they are just cashing in on what ever they can, Blizzard-Activition is turning all their franchises into Call of Duty's.

Blizzard Entertainment and Activision are separate entities. Why is this hard for people to understand?

Blizzard is part of Activision, therefore they're seeking nothing but profit, gameplay and depth are left behind in order to please younger and wider audiences therefore they don't make games, they play big business.
