The publisher PR and games journalism circle consists of too much inbreeding anyway. It does not hurt to open it up, even if it's a little more work or god forbid inconvenient. Gamespots live coverage was excellent as usual but even that would've been helped by crowds wandering by the window or the stage as in years past. The way it was it wasn't that different from your weekly "On the Spot".

E3 wasn't really E3 because it simply is not E3 without any hype! For example, has anybody outside the gaming media noticed Rock Band yet? You bet if it had had lines comparable to last years Wii lines people would have been MUCH more psyched about it. EA will feel that when they try to sell Rockband plus accessories for big $ to the mainstream....

The problem with the PS3 big hits is that it's not really sure that they'll make it in 2007. So why should you waste your pick on a game which probably isn't even released in the timeframe in question. The only thing I don't get is how one can pick a Burnout game for most anticipated game? It'll be more of the same more or less. Also with the speed of that game you can't even enjoy the graphics the way they should be enjoyed. My picks are Mass Effect and Super Mario Galaxy.
