If the rationale of ESA is to allow smaller developers to get noticed, that makes no sense. First off, without all the flair that drew everyones attention, there really isn't going to be much intrest in anyones games, if E3 is a hobbled, boardroom, slideshow oriented affair. Second, the small folks already have things like ComicCON where they get plenty of positive coverage (take Behemoth/Newgrounds and their Alien Homonid, they needed nothing from E3 to get noticed). I guess the big feeling is that its the end of something you looked foward to. Developers would tease you until E3 time and then, WHAM you just got hit with so much gaming glee..it was great. Mabe if they experience poor feedback from this new small layout, it'll revert. For now I guess I'll just be visiting Gamespot more often.
