At least I save some money this way. No need paying full price for a game like this when I can wait a year and pick it up for 10-20 bucks. Thanks Konami.
I remember replaying the original a while ago and it sure hasn't aged well at all. Way too repetitive after the third act. Really, aside from a train level with a cool looking background, the last two acts in the game feel like pure filler. Don't see why I'd want to go through that again, even if it looks slightly shinier (which is not even a good thing, considering the grimy look was what gave the game its character, which was something was partly and then completely lost in 2 and 3 respectively).
"Free-to-play elements in a full-price game" Glad to see reviewers are finally beginning to crack down on this, but couldn't that criticism also be aimed at pretty much every major release nowadays? MGS V had that and it received a 10 on this very site.
Honestly looks like a slightly faster Dark Souls with Bloodborne's art direction. I mean it looks like a great game but I fail to see how this is any "better" in regards to changing things up than the latest Assassin's Creed game. But eh... The Souls fanbase is an... interesting one.
