I thought the whole point of this place is "no fanboys", that's why I said no to h575309 (massive lemming) and NielsNL (massive cow). And now I really have a craving for Burger King.

It's nice that more people are playing this game and discussing it, but still, the sequel is on a system that I don't own and really isn't where it belongs.mitu123

I'll be buying it as I already have a PSP but I would love to see it return to the PS3 (maybe using VC2 for funding?).  I don't think it would be much of a problem for some people if this wasn't 'VC2'.  If it was a side-story, it might have sat better with others but SEGA is looking at Japan mainly and handhelds sell like hotcakes there.

that's a very neat way of allowing you to customize specific squad members without actually fiddling with each one's stats.

VC2 is giving people base stats it seems which is kind of what I wanted in the first to go in tandem with the weapons.  Certain Scouts having better accuracy but lower attack power, I'd give them a Power weapon.  VC2 is also using the 'branching' system to go with it:

They become their own weapons either way so your not locked to a specific path.  If you think you'll only need Power, go for it.  If you want to mix it up by giving 1 Shock a Power weapon, another an Accuracy weapon and the last a Status weapon, that's up to you.  You need to have all upgrades to get a certain Medal anyway.

Can't you back up your saves to a hard drive? 

I know when I sent my PS3 in to get the disk drive sorted out, I was able to retrieve my MGS4 saves from hard drive backup upon my console's safe return. 

PS3 doesn't boot up so I can't get to anything.

EDIT: I just need it to come alive for like 5-10 minutes and that's it.  I can grab my VC, MGS4, SCIV, Darkness, inFAMOUS, etc. saves and put them on my USB.  I have about...10+GB of anime episodes but that can all be redownloaded.  I just want the damn gamesaves.
