The most Original game thats ever been
Although the premise of the game remains the same, Pikmin 2 actually has quite a few major differences to its previous title. The main extras being the 2 extra colours of Pikmin: Purple: Are incredibly strong but also slow. Has the lifting power of 10 pikmin. and White: Poisonous to creatures that may gobble them up and can also retreive hidden treasures.
The artifacts that were once on the surface of the planet can now be found in underground chambers in each level that are filled with traps and monsters to avoid, With a Gigantic Boss waiting for you at the end. Once you have completed the main game and attempt the later chambers, It gets incredibly hard and will require some serious patience.
The new 2 player co op mode is very fun and can keep you entertained once you've finished single player mode. Its a shame that there is a time limit to each level though. 2 player battle is a very nice addition and is great when playing another person who is experienced at the game as you can have incredibly strategic battles.
The visuals are something very special indeed with some of the greatest sights you can possibly see on a gamecube. Some of the textures used are from Shigeuro Miyamotos garden! (I thought it was weird too)
This is one of the finest games the cube has to offer and it really shows off what Nintendo are capable of.
