"Yet another ball-cracking laugh of a game."

Penny Arcade only developed its own uniquely zany sense of humor during 2006, and I am glad the developers carried it over to the associated games. PA Adventure's Gabe and Tycho still make the webcomics look like puny weaklings, but other than the aesthetic similarities, they are still altogether different persons; Gabe's a punching-prone doofus and Tycho's a person who is educated... in all the wayward things.

The story continues from the first one, though this time Gabe and Tycho are directly responsible for wrecking the Player Character's (second) home. The usual assortment of whackjobs are still there (and for the player to whack), and some people from the previous game returns... though some returned to die humorously horrible deaths.

Gameplay fundamentally remained the same, with some minor improvements. Having enemies' lifebars flash when they are to pull off an attack is convenient. The party members start out at level 15, exactly the max level from where they left Episode 1. Kudos to the developers for remembering to retain continuity, though most of the special moves have been reengineered.

Puzzles remained quite simple, though a few seemed to be broken, such as the bank account password puzzle, the solution for which I have to scrounge the Internet for, and was not satisfied with.

All in all there isn't much anything new to say about this sequel. It's still fun, but if the third episode remains the same way, sticking to the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mantra, Penny Arcade is going to have trouble with its game products.
