If you wanna pass your time then OK but don't expect much as it could be better

User Rating: 6.5 | Patrician IV: Conquest by Trade PC
To tell ya all frankly this is the first game I am playing under the series and it's not that bad at all. The game just reminds me of Port Royale which I played many years back and after that this is the first one of this genre. The rules are simple, you have to trade and trade and to be a great merchant especially for Lubeck from where basically the game starts and then time by time of many other cities. During the whole time you have to make money on finding different ways of trading and on accomplishing tasks to increase your merchant levels. Also to increase your reputations in your city you have to start new productions of goods, build houses, counting houses, warehouses and many others. Your main task is to earn money as much as you can and the ultimate goal is to be the Mayor of the city and to do all the good stuffs for the city. But it's not that easy because you have to face the pirates, plagues, requirements and overall you have to wait for certain things till you forward for the required level.

The Good:

1. It can be a great game of passing your times

2. The sound quality is very good and the game music is awesome (The best feature of this game despite almost familiar with Rise of Nations)

3. Accomplishing missions and tasks is not that bad at all.

4. The pop up animations (only)

The Bad:

1. The game has not that graphics or visuals which impress ones. It's very normal

2. The map could be much much better and attractive of being a game of 2010

3. The clues and hints could be a bit more detailed

Final Verdict:

There are some games which will definitely make you bore for playing an hour or 2 (Max) but will also tied you up with your chair to play further (unless playing the game lying on your bed as you will sleep for sure) and Patrician 4 is just one of them. I don't know whether I should suggest one to play it or not but the ones who always love to try can go for it. Still the decision is yours.
