this game rocks socks and is absolutely nessary to anyone who likes a realistic shooter
Operation Flashpoint: Elite is an absoloutly great game that has been adapted from the PC version of the games Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis and Operation Flashpoint: Resistance. the Xbox version actually contains both these games and after completing 50% of Cold Way Crisis you unlock the entily different Resistance Campaign.
The game is incredibly realistic with a shingle shot being all it takes to take your character down and its the same for your enemies and team mates. this makes for some pretty intense firefights with forces over large distances, you have to use cover and take them out before they flank you or call in support.
one of the games great features is its massive maps and complete freedom in the world, for example your objective is to go here and do this but you can go here and do this any way you like, take a tank to the fight or maybe a fighter jet or mabey just take your squad in on foot and go for a frontal assault the options are endless.
all in all this game is absoloutly fantastic if u don't mind some outdated graphics, the shooting sounds as real as if you were there yourself and the sound of distant battle really sets the mood.
