An interesting game, full of out of the ordinary content.

The Oddworld developers (oddworld inhabitants) have stopped creating games. But if you haven't played this game, it's well worth a try. Its not like the old abe games on the ps1, or munchs oddysee either. But that isn't a bad thing.

The gameplay consists of fps and platform elements. Its takes a while to get used to it, but it works well. Your main weapon is a crossbow. With this crossbow you can select many different types of creature ass ammo. Wasps, skunks, spiders etc. They all have different effects, for example the spider will wrap up an enemy and paralyse them.

In third person you can move faster, ram into enemies, and combat by spinning into people. I must add that the level design is phenomenal. When you complete a mission, you almost always get a clear path back to town. And its usually that part of the town where you wanted to go to, just out of curiosity.

The boss battles are also a well thought out part of the game. Usually there is a certain way of defeating the boss. You also have to take into consideration whether you want to take in the enemy dead or alive. If they are captured alive, they are worth more money. But catching them alive is a harder job.

The actual control of the main character (stranger) is brilliant. Whether it is running, jumping, shooting, the controls will not let you down.

The story- At first you play through collecting bounties, progressing from village to village. But the story gets interesting after these "bounty jobs". Without spoiling the story, you'll have to play the game to find out what happens next.
The game is like a fantasy western, and has the unique oddworld atmosphere.

The sound- When you complete a mission a western jingle perks up. The weapons sound great. The voices fit into the surreal world, even though they are a bit childish and annoying. The characters swear quite a bit, and it may have been better to have characters that sounded different to the kind of thing you'd hear on spongebob squarepants!

Overall this game sucks you in, and definitely grows on you. Collecting bounties is only the start of this game.
