This game was awesome! Very challenging & great graphics. I just wasn't 100% clear on was the storyline behind it

I thought this game was incredibly well layed out and offered some incredible landscapes. The characters were interesting and very "Star Wars"esqe. During play I kept thinking that this game is very much like an Old West version of Star Wars. And that's a good thing.

I was never a big fan of 1st person shooters but this game has completely changed my mind on that. There's a section where you're in the woods and enemies have a hard time spotting you (unlike in the rest of the game) so you actually have a chance to hunt them, and it's intensely satisfying.

My only criticism of this game is that the storyline isn't very clear. You start off as a Steef who hunts bounties to raise money for an operation to disguise the fact that you're a Steef. Half way through we're now helping these frogmen to fight the evil boss Sekto who apparently has stolen their water supply so he can bottle and sell it. You're partially fueled by the knowledge that Sekto is offering a large bounty for Steef heads, although that must have been understood as the entire reason for wanting the operation was because Stranger's life was in danger because he was a Steef. ??? Then at the end (***spoiler warning***) it turns out that Sekto was actually some sort of octopus thing that attached himself to, and was mind controlling the body of another Steef (not sure who they were) but was also out to capture and kill all the Steefs in Oddworld. I watched some of the movies offered in the options section to try to piece it all together and for the life of me I still cannot figure out why Sekto hates the Steefs to the point where he wants to exterminate them all?

Anyway, even without understanding the story 100%, I thought the game was awesome. Definitely worthwhile for anyone who likes shooting games with a storyline that makes you like the characters to the point where you develop a real liking for them.
