Beautiful, polished, fun and amusing pick up and play action adventure game for the Original Xbox!

User Rating: 8.5 | Oddworld Stranger's Wrath XBOX
WOW! I never thought that Oddworld Inhabitants could create such a beautifully polished, fun, and amusing pick up and play game in one jump to a new genre. Truely a gem in the Original Xbox's last years.

Plot: Stranger's Wrath is a western themed FPS/Action Adventure set in the Oddworld 'universe'. You are a badass bounty hunter moving from town to town taking any bounty job you can get. Wanted dead or alive you bring in each bounty one at a time, but better alive to gain more 'moolah' than dead. For 'moolah' is the only thing on your mind at the moment, you need cash for a "life saving operation". A creative storyline with some interesting and amusing twists which unfold into a sinister plotline.

Graphics and Sound: The character and enviroments are as I expected from an oddworld game, beautiful, polished, fluid and crisp. The game also includes some FMV cinematics that are like something from an animated 3D film of today. Truely well done, and some of the best graphics I have seen on the Xbox.

Gameplay and Features: The different ammo types have made me laugh my guts up many times while playing through the game. Running round accepting bounty missions and capturing dead or alive mobs becomes quite a tactical romp as the more mobs you capture alive the more "moolah" you get at the end of the mission. Or if you feel like it go all GUN HO! on everything in site. Works either way. You can upgrade your ammo at the local town's market shop after each mission, and also other upgrades are available such as binoculars and ammo insect attractors.

Value: At the moment you can find this game cheap as chips in the correct second hand game store, or go online with ebay or amazon and find some bargains there. The only issue I have with this game is that once completed there is no replayability value towards it. Nothing to unlock at all. Also it was a little bit on the short side. Only a little. It is shelved for now but will be remembered.
