Sony announces Sly Cooper competition winners

Eight winning entries judged by Sly Cooper developer Sanzaru Studios to be featured in the upcoming Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time.

In April, Sony announced a competition giving Sly Cooper fans the chance to have their treasure designs appear in the next instalment of the action series on the PS3, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time.

Sony has now announced the eight winning entries of the competition. Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time developer Sanzaru Studios picked the winners, which will be transformed into in-game objects.

The winners are:
SKELLY7 (Ireland)
Handofthesly (New Zealand)
P7I3R7A3T7 (Russia)
Sagazoolo (Switzerland)
Abinsur66 (Germany)
Corewyrn (Spain)
Monikynsi (Finland)
Ratchet5928 (Australia)

Announced during Sony's 2011 Electronic Entertainment Expo briefing, Thieves in Time will be released later this year.

Though Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time is the first entry in the franchise Sanzaru has designed, the studio is not entirely a stranger to the series. The developer--also behind PlayStation 2 title Secret Agent Clank--contributed to 2010's Sly Collection.

Awesome - this was a great competition and I'm really glad Sanzaru did this :). Developers need to do this sort of thing more often, it was great in R&C: A Crack In Time, and I'm sure it will be neat in Sly 4. Congratulations to the winners.

This is not entirely accurate. There were two competitions, I believe. One for the United States, and one for the rest of the world. These winners are from the rest of the world. IIRC, there was a second competition for the United States, whose winners have yet to be announced.
