The film will trace Yamauchi's career from his run as a professional racer to his founding of Gran Turismo series developer Polyphony Digital.

"Through the support of PlayStation, Kaz's journey has forever changed the gaming and automotive landscape and in doing so, has redefined how we perceive the relationship between art, entertainment, and culture," reads a line from the film's description.

Directing KAZ: Pushing the Virtual Divide is Tamir Moscovici, who has helmed various commercials, music videos, and short films.

No release date other than "soon" has been announced for KAZ: Pushing the Virtual Divide. Check out the film's trailer below.

Gran Turismo 6 launches on December 6 for the PlayStation 3, while Gran Turismo 7 for the PlayStation 4 will be out in "a year or two," according to Yamauchi.
