The event is open to guild leaders (or appointed representatives) on an invite-only basis. BioWare said the aim of the gathering is to "facilitate an open discussion between guild leaders and the game design team."

At the event, guild leaders will have a chance to participate in Q&A sessions and roundtable discussions with the game's developers, and will have an opportunity to preview upcoming game features.

The gathering will be held March 4-6 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Austin, Texas. According to BioWare's announcement, the company has already chosen and invited guild leaders to the summit. However, those interested in claiming a remaining spot can submit an application via the game's website for consideration by February 10.

Of note, gamers must be 21 or older to attend, and while applications are open to international users, talks will be held only in English. Additionally, those chosen to attend must pay for all expenses, including travel, food, and lodging.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is off to a fast start. After launching in late December to a warm critical reception, the game has gone on to sell 2 million copies and amass 1.7 million active subscribers, well above the threshold necessary to make the game profitable for publisher Electronic Arts.
