Wal-Mart lists Kinect bundles - Retail Radar
Megaretailer unveils $199 motion-control packages; will include single game, $30 gift card; previously unannounced Kinect-enabled Harry Potter title also listed.
Currently, Microsoft is offering its Kinect motion-sensing system for a price "estimate" of $150--a prediction most major online retailers agree with. Now, Wal-Mart is entering the fray by unveiling a special Kinect bundle for $200 when it launches November 4.
The Wal-Mart Kinect bundle, which is now available for preorder, packs in a Kinect game of choice and a $30 eGift-card good for online Wal-Mart purchases exclusively.
A list of applicable titles includes Dance Central, Joy Ride, Kinectimals, Kinect Sports, Kinect Adventures, and Harry Potter: Deadly Hallows [sic]. The wizarding game from EA Play was not previously announced as a Kinect-enabled property, and an EA representative told GameSpot "We haven’t made any announcements at this time."
The Kinect is available for customers to try out today at Microsoft locations in Scottsdale, Arizona; San Diego, California; Mission Viejo, California; and Lone Tree, Colorado.
