Sony Japan has announced it will be adding one more colour to the PlayStation Portable, a limited edition Metallic Blue. The latest shade comes on top of the seven which are currently available in the country following the relaunch of the handheld as the Slim version.

There will be two different packs with the blue hue, the PSP Metallic Blue Value Pack for ¥23,800 ($226) and the PSP Metallic Blue 1 Seg Pack for ¥29,800 ($283). The difference in price is because the Seg pack also contains a TV 'Seg' tuner. Both will go on sale on July 17. The Metallic Blue colour appears to be the same as the one recently announced for the Madden bundle Stateside.

The PlayStation 2 will also be getting a new colour--Cinnabar Red, which will go on sale on July 3 priced ¥16,000 ($152).

Not wanting it to feel left out, Sony has also announced a new PlayStation Eye camera pack for the PlayStation 3. Retailing at ¥5,000 ($48), the camera will come bundled with five compatible casual games and sound and imaging software on one disc. Collectively called Memoushon, the six are called Make, Look, Solve, Play, Fly, and Move.

Make is the software for editing images and sounds recorded through the camera, whereas Look is a virtual aquarium. Solve is a puzzle game that has players rolling a ball to its goal, and in Play gamers have to save "sticky" creatures. Fly and Move are "interactive art experiences," the first of which lets users "travel over ancient Japanese paintings by sending bird flocks over them, using hands and body movements." Move, on the other hand, creates visual effects from body movements and sound.
