PS3 = overstocked... I was told last night that my local Best Buy hasn't sold one in a week. There were like literally 20+ sitting there. But no one has a Wii since before Christmas. What gives with that crap? I thought Nintendo was all on top of this production problem?

Im stilll confused about this whole "lack of product" argument in favor of why the PS3 would have sold more. Its only 2 months later barely and there is MORE than ample supply of the PS3 sitting in stores. How is that good? I remember when PS2 was out, your couldnt buy one in store for 8 months! Heck you can barely find a DS lite here in the states, good luck in japan, and that came out 6 months ago. Were there any other consoles in history that lost this much momentum so early?

I am really surprised that the PS3 didn't break 500k units in Japan...The ps2 had such a strong Asian market. This will be an interesting year for gaming I don't remember the console wars being this heated since the days of Nintendo and Sega. And I agree with FallenOneX....those madden sales are hax...seriously they should dismiss any game that has a monopoly on the industry.. And the fact Gears was out for less than 2 months and sold 1.8 million is clearly more of a achievement than Madden

Madden sales don't impress me in the least. It's the only NFL game on the market and it was released on all major systems. iThat's like the kid that sell Snickers for $5 a pop at fat camp: NO CHOICE! But the NSMB and GOW sales, that's freaking awsome. Resistance: FOM should've been up there as well, if there had been enough PS3's.....

BTW, serious non-game related question. Will Sony try and add the # of copies of Talladega Nights included with the PS3 to the number of BR discs sold last year???? My money says yes.

Besides, so I can't play a video game for a half hour while I'm downloading millions of bits of information without leaving my house. It's a huge technological advancement, not a set back.

PS3 is a waste of money and time th 360 is doing great, the Wii is taking the world by storm, and not to mention it brought my ladies back into the picture.

Ok, I have some free time on my hands so I'll explain it again. For the 500th time. Fist: The PS3 does not have a dvd player it has a bluray player which is an unproven format that will most likely wind up just like all the other crap sony tried to shove down peoples throat. See Beta Max, MiniDisk ,UMD. If Sony manages to make bluray a success the price will drop drastically and the ps3 will be cheaper so if you payed 600 dollars for a gaming console which has no games but has bluray YOU WASTED YOUR MONEY.

Second: the PS3 is more powerful than the 360 only on paper. Theoretical numbers don't mean squat. The PS3 is crippled by its poor implementation of technology. The CPU is not well suited for processing game code. It lacks Ram, and its GPU is crap compared to the 360s GPU.

third: And most important of all, the games. Lets see The 360 has:
Halo3
Halo Wars
Fable2
Alan Wake
Huxly
Dead Rising 1 coming soon 2
Bioshok
Blue Dragon
Guitar hero 2 with exclusive content.
GTA4 with exclusive content
Kane and linch
Lost planet
Crackdown
Viva pinata
Dead or alive 4
Mass Effect
KOTOR3 and lets not forget the Gears Of War trilogy. and thats just for starters.

PS3 has what? lair, motorstom, Tekken, MGS4, DMC4, and whatever number Final fantasy is at now. I forget because after FF7 I could care less. Take a good look at that list. I know there are more games coming out for the PS3 than that so spare me. I just mention those because they're the ones all the Fanboys pull out of their ass when praising their precious console. Out of that list dont be surprised if MGS4, Tekken and DMC4 wind up on the 360, and not one of those games will be out any time soon. So once you're done with RFOM what you have is a 600 dollar dust catcher.

Now look at the 360 list 90% of those games will stay exclusive and many of those games are out right now. One last thing the multi platform games Look better and Play better on 360
So you tell me HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT THE PS3 IS NOT A WASTE OF MONEY.

First of all it amazes me that no one finds it fishy that Sony can sell a bluray as part of a console, yet the same company sells a stand alone bluray for 1000 bucks. Is it because the bluray in the PS3 is cheap? Would expalin why they had so many problems with it during manufacturing. But I guess time and laser lawsuits will tell, cause of course Sony had such a great reputation for theit lasers on their PS2's and dvd players.

Secondly if I wanted a bluray player, which I and the majority of people don't, then the PS3 is a good value at $600. If I just want to play games $600 is an incredible waste of money. And I have the cash. The only difference between spending it to buy a PS3 or using the $600 to wipe my ass is that at least if I use it to wipe my ass it served a purpose.

Thirdly People pay monthly to play WOW. There are also some free access MMO's. Which is bigger? People pay for value.The Dreamcast had a free network. 'Nuff said.

Lastly when developers are not meeting the 500,000 copies sold to break even on the PS3, let's see how many of those "exclusives" are left. Crissakes, Sony themselves would rather support the PS2 with God of War 2 than the PS3.

4.7 is the most that u can hold on a dvd disc. and yes ofcourse u can play it on 360 or any other system that plays dvds.

Yeah, amazingly bad. When you sell under 70% of your consoles just 1-1/2 months after launch with a years worth of hype in the world's biggest market, that's not too good.

When you find PS3's stacked up on shelves in NEW YORK CITY, that's a bad sign.

And it's not that they HAVEN'T done a worldwide release, it's more that they COULDN'T do one.

I want to state that I am not a fan boy of any one system like them all but why dosent anybody get on nintendo,s case of being nothing but a just about profit compant they come out with a system that looks slightly better than the gamcube(and they admit it) chrg 249.00(gc 99.00) and try to shove new controller down your throat(GIMMICK) the only difference between gc and Wii is wiring thickness(180 as oppose to 90nm ) i predict by next year they will be selling a standard controller for all Wii games. they admit they are making profit on console at launch(neither ms or sony did) because to them its about gaurranteed profit not gamplay as they try to tell you all i will say is give me great graphics and ai over waving my hand around
