Sony Pictures' Yair Landau will keynote the upcoming D.I.C.E. Summit next month in Las Vegas.

The vice chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment is also president of Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment. That post sees Landau helm the operations at Sony Pictures Animation, Sony Pictures Imageworks, SonyPictures.com, Sony Pictures Entertainment's mobile and casual games production units, and EverQuest creators Sony Online Entertainment.

According to the event's producers, the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, Landau will address the "changing nature" of entertainment. Landau has long been an advocate of marrying the various creative and technical divisions at Sony and harnessing them in a collaborative approach toward content development.

Previously, he has keynoted the IEMA Summit and introduced the "Future of Content" one-day summit at Stanford University. Landau is a 15-year Sony veteran who started his career there in the business development unit.

Others scheduled to speak at this year's D.I.C.E. Summit include Valve founder Gabe Newell, Sony studios boss Phil Harrison, head of Ubisoft's North American publishing unit Jay Cohen, Mind Candy's Michael Smith, former FASA lead Jordan Weisman (now with 42 Entertainment), Monolith Productions president Samantha Ryan, and Gas Powered Games founder Chris Taylor.

The D.I.C.E. Summit 2007 will take place at the Green Valley Ranch Resort in Las Vegas February 7-9.
