When EA released the first NFSU it was probably the biggest hit to the genre of street racing games since Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero. What lead most gamers to buy it was the ludicrously large amount of customization combinations. Though the racing did make it seem like you were street racing [without the cops] it did somewhat fade. Now that EA released a sequel to the game it has Up-ed it's graphics and customizations to make this game the best street racer currently out. The game shows the same racing modes in the first but with some new twists and freedom. Now there is a free-roam city instead of the track, as seen in NFSU. The graphics were improved, not greatly but significantly and the gameplay stays somewhat the same. The main reason gamers purchase this is for the customizations. NFSU2 has the most customizations for a car in any racer up to date. Though NFSU2 may be run over by the upcoming releases Juiced, Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition, and Forza Motorsport, the game still proves to be worth playing as it lasts. The game's sound isn't the best but it's never good in any racer out there now with the exception of Ralli Sport Challenge 2. NFSU2 is definately worth picking up but not entirely worth keeping.
