So many things go wrong in this game, the sliders are terrible, my player needs to be fixed up badly.
For example the first thing is the and I do not know if this has happened to anyone but My Player, the mode everyone plays this year has been flipped upside down. Last year's was probably the greatest My Player to date however this year in MP there are so many issues.
1) When you get into the starting line up, the amount of trades your team does is ridiculous. I started my first MP as a 6"4' Point guard and got selected by the Rockets, we traded Louis Scola to Washington for Andray Blatche, mind this trade was a good one for me because Blatche is an excellent perimter scorer however then we traded Terrence Williams and Kevin Martin to Denver for Kenyon Martin and Andre Miller? I do not know why this happened but it did, I could not redo this. The amount of trades that the CPU does in MP is ridiculous and they need to fix it bad, seems like every 4 or 5 games the line up changes with new additions.
2) The fast break game is officially dead in any mode, when you up the court you will get blocked or swatted away by a guy who is slower but yet he looks faster than you. My PG had an 88 overall speed and got rejected by Anderson Varejo, who's speed is somewhere in 40's - 50's.
3) The double team is terrible, when I or when one of my team mates helps in a Double team there is always one guy from the team open for a jumper, and when it is a 3 pointer it makes me mad. Also whoever designed the defence in the game just needs to quit, the defence is terrible, I mean it seems like every play my team just gets lost in the paint and there is one guy from the CPU team which is always open for an open lay-up/dunk.
4) It seems like to get to the playoffs in My player you need to be on a contending team. (Dallas, LA Lakers, Miami etc.) even if you are getting A+'s on say the Washington Wizards or one of those lower teams.
5) To get into the paint is like a death sentence, you can't, It seems like they made it so difficult this year, I always either get a lose ball or a turnover when I dribble in the paint, and also the amount of contact when you go for a lay up and yet no foul, this is crazy.
6) The ridiculous runs that the team you play go on. I was controlling the Wizards on my John Wall CAL and we were taking on the Pistons, half time the score was 51- 37 and it ended up being 80 - 76, the amount of runs that teams go on is ridiculous, one minute your blowing out a team by 20 then the game ends up being so close that you barley escape with the victory.
Overall My player is not the only thing in the game however the Pros of this year's game is that they have added a good feature of the Legends and being able to play games from the classic eras. Association mode seems deeper this year and also the the Create a Legend mode which I prefer over My Player this year, overall this game just seems like a mixed bag however I will give it a 7.5.
