If you are a fan of the anime, you have to buy this game. First off, in order to play it, you will need a PS2 capable of playing japanese games. I am a huge fan of the series, so I purchased one just for this game. I have heard people compare this to powerstone, but I think it plays more like Smash Brothers. The differences are that I personally think that this is much easier to control and has supers. Basically your character fights on a level where you can jump onto objects, run up walls, destroy scenery to get power-ups, and "hop" into the background for something almost like a second level. Plus, at certain times, you can actually have your character take the fight to a completely different area, also gaining yourself a slight health recovery. Another way to get items is to get them from your support character, who randomly appears and waits for you to get the item from them. If your opponent reaches them first, they can strike them to make them disappear. Also, if you get a certain item, your support character can helf you in your fight. The best thing about this game are the supers. Doing a super is very easy, you just hit the triangle button once for each level super you want to do, then you hit your opponent. They are blockable, but if it is blocked, you don't lose you "chakra" which is needed to perform them. You just have to wait a short time to try again. Once you hit them, you enter a mini-movie, where you have to input a code to try and continue the super and thus do more damage. Your opponent also has a code to input which will halve the damage done. The super animations are phenominal, taking the moves that are done in the anime and redoing them in the game. The sounds are awesome, as they are pretty much right from the anime. Every line in the game is voice-acted by the person who does the voice in the show, and all the sound effects are the same. The music is different, but still very good. Another amazing thing is the backgrounds. They contain pretty much every character who has ever been in the show, and I mean EVERY character. Characters who were in the show for maybe only 30 seconds are still shown, from the lady whose cat was found as part of the groups mission (and the cat), to a puppy who was a major part of a minor character's background. The attention to detail is astounding. As far as bonuses, this game acutally has too many, with what I believe is over a thousand items for you to unlock. Over all, the main thing really is, if you like the anime and you like fighting games, you will love this game.
