Naruto and his friends as a kid and mid/late teens merge together in this epic anime fighting game. 2 generations clash!
Generations basically shares the same gameplay as its last 2 predecessors. Flashy, yet simple and combat combinations vary based on character. This applies with jutsu and ultimate techniques also. If there was anything that was changed between this game and the last it was the substitution system. There was a limit to how many substitutions u could do as compared to the previous game where that depended on your chakra. Another thing that changed was after ultimate ninja storm 1 and that was the jutsu clash which was taken away from the game and was never used thus far.
As far as the storyline goes, they simplified it to an animation picture/anime cinematic kind of thing. Sadly unlike the predecessors this game did not use the quick time button cinematic scenes installment in the boss battles. That part of the game in my opinion was like sitting down, watching and living the anime. I guess the developers were doing alot merging the last 2 ultimate ninja storm installments to do extra things like the cool storyline stuff they stripped down. Merging the generations of naruto and his friends was an excellent idea. I look forward to seeing the sequel.
