Embarrassed by this game.
This game sucks as a fighting game.
I will give it credit because it has some unseen anime footage which was pretty interesting to watch. Although the story is pathetic, you have the option of pressing "A" 50 times between each fight to watch slideshows or just press start and skip it all together.
The fighting mechanics are complete garbage and are completely unbalanced. The substitution bar MAY sound like a good idea but all it does it gives the fight to whoever has more substitutions the win. There has been almost no fix to some of the spamming in this game. The game has generally been sped up but trying to use items is a much slower pace and you'll be lucky to get one off in mid fight.
As a Naruto fan you'll be disappointed in most of the narrative and as a non-Naruto fan you'll be bored by the crappy slideshow story.
As a fighting game fan you'll notice how broken and spammy this game is in general as SOON as you play an online match.
