This is a nice change from the Ultimate Ninja Heroes series, but something feels missing...

I'm a big Naruto fan, so when I first heard that there will be new Naruto game, I was excited. However, this game isn't what I expected. I expected a free-roam game, where you could feel like a ninja. But what do I get? Repetitive RPG Beat 'em up. But other features make up for it and if you're a Naruto fan, you will probably like it.

Features (9/10):
This game is pretty packed with nice features. There are lots of unlockables that will keep you playing it. You can unlock new characters, Jutsus and modes. There is also plenty of game modes, so you can switch from one to another, if you are bored. Every character can equip "Skill Scrolls" that give you boost in stats, enable you to do Jutsus or give you some special effect. These scrolls can be combined to make more powerful scrolls, which will keep you playing the game a little longer, just to get some of the good scrolls.

Gameplay (6/10):
Well, the gameplay is pretty boring. First you choose one of the modes from the main menu, then you choose some mission. You will begin the mission in the Konoha village. from there, you will travel between areas by getting to a red circle and pressing X. Those areas are usually packed by low class enemies that you can, but don't have to beat. The problem is that there are only few kinds of enemies and they are either insanely weak or insanely strong. Usually, you won't kill much enemies in the mission, because the low-class enemies aren't worth much EXP (It's an RPG, remember?) and the stronger ones are just too tough. The areas in the game are highly unbalanced, e.g. one area has easy-to-beat bandits on level 8 and the area right after this one has super-tough worms on level 20. In order to beat those missions, you will probably do a lot of grinding on weak enemies, just to get your level up. Your character can "equip" up to four jutsus, which you perform by holding R and pressing one of the face buttons. Note, that these jutsus are also highly unbalanced, since every jutsu is character exclusive. Meaning that e.g. Itachi Uchiha on level 30 won't have any problem with Guy on level 60, just because Itachi's Jutsus are much more better than Guy's

Graphic (7/10):
The graphics are not the best, but they are not bad either. They have the classical Naruto style look, but they look pretty good. If there is one thing that is bad about it, then it's the background. It's dull, flat and look pretty cheap. But the characters are very well animated, so you probably won't even notice it.

Sound (8.5/10):
The characters are nicely voiced and the music is nice. But the problem are jutsus. When you perform one, the characters shouts its name before performing it. That is OK, if oyu don't spam them. However, most of the boss fights can be only won by spamming jutsus so it's almost better to play with the sound turned off.

Overall (8.5/10):
A nice game that any Naruto fan should get, but if you don't like grinding and repetitive action but still want some Naruto game, you are better off with Ultimate Ninja Heroes.
