User Rating: 9.4 | MVP Baseball 2004 PS2
I remember the days when an EA Sports MLB Game meant lots of homeruns, some exploding scoreboards and Oyster Pudding ads aplenty. No more folks, this is serious hardball here. Over the years of playing hardcore simes like High Heat Baseball, I never anticipated going back to EA Sports for baseball under any circumstances. Well, those circumstances become dire when the High Heat franchise was not continued this year and I had to make a choice. EA made that choice easy by working Overtime to perfect what was a decent game in 2003 with MVP 2004. Incredible depth and the longevity of this title are what attracts most people at first. One particular feature I really enjoy is the Minor League Licenses of all the AAA and AA farm teams, hopefully next year some A teams will be included. Another great feature is that you can edit all of these players to resemble real life minor leaguers and top prospects, especially with great sites like www.geekrosters.com around doing it for you, it is amazing once you get their rosters and being your franchise with real prospects, i don't think life gets better than that. Being able to call up and send down real rookies using their rosters made MVP 2004 my favorite game of 2004. Great Job EA Sports, MVP 2004 is definitely a home run !
