Muramasa the boring blade

i realy wanted to like this game. Reviews were very positive and i realy like Japan and japanese folklore and this game is full of it. Even the voices are Japanese. The game does have very nice handpainted visuals. It's a 2d beat 'm up essentially with some sword collecting, cooking and other RPG-elements thrown in the mix. You can play as either a male or female ninja character and all characters have a nice manga-like appearance, you know with the big eyes and so.Maybe it's because i was playing Castlevania Aria of Sorrow witch has similar gameplay before this, but after 2 and a half hour in the game, struggling to beat the second boss i couldn't help but wonder "What am i doing? This goes on for another 15 hours or so, i'd better quit now." Feeling completely empty inside i traded it in for Street Fighter 3D edition, which is a total blast to play and a lot of fun. Opposite to Muramasa the boring blade.
