An arcade-style boxing game that uses simple controls. What makes the game so great is that it is not too easy, and not too hard. Anyone can pick up a controller and have some fun.
As Little Mac, you take on stereotyped characters from all over the world. Exploiting your opponents idiosyncrasies are the keys to the fights. You will develop a strategy to take out your opponents, but even when you have mastered one, it's still a challenge to pull it off correctly.
It says a lot when it takes 20 or more years to produce a boxing game that even comes close to the fun factor that Punch-Out provides.
You will always remember your "Oh Sh#t" moment the first time you saw Mike Tyson (or Mr. Dream) step out of the corner. I've been playing this game since it's release and its still a fun challenge every time.
