I wasn't sure what to think about this game initially, but Might and Magic Clash of Heroes is a remarkably superb game

Firstly I'll preface this review by stating that, initially, I wasn't particularly interested in the game in general and wasn't expecting much of it. Like with Puzzle Quest: Challenge of The Warlords, I was extremely wrong. I played the game for a short period of time; basically to go through the tutorials and some of the first campaign. I put the game away for a short period of time to play Spirit Tracks, but found myself coming back to Might and Magic quicker than I thought. It wasn't long until I was addicted and, unfortunately, have finished the game -.-

Anyway, to the actual review now... AHEM!*

Gameplay and Stuff: Might and Magic Clash of Heroes is a turn based puzzle game with both rpg and strategic elements. The player- that's you- follows the journey of five different heroes... wait... I can't count. 1...2...3..4.. Okay yeah, 5, different heroes in, what I would probably describe as, several campaigns. (You will complete a campaign and start fresh with a new character with a different army type, trademark of the heroes of might and magic series (inferno, necropolis, conflux, griffen empire, etc)

When playing you basically move around the map until entering a battle of similar challenge. The game then changes to a few reminiscent of games like Puzzle Quest, meteos, and similar games. The key premise is that you can link three of your units vertically in a formation to 'charge' and activate them. The unit, depending on its type, will then unleash an attack on the opponent's army in variable amount of turns with differing attack powers, special effects, etc. Linking three in a row horizontally turns your units into walls which will help fend off the enemy's attacks. The key premise is to protect yourself against the enemies formations while attempting to drill past the opponents army to inflict direct damage to the player. There are also other units which can be purchased; elite and champion units, which are much more powerful and more difficult to activate (eg, the Dragon which is four spaces large needs to be activated with four units of the same colour type sitting on top of it in a 2x2 formation). The heroes also have spells that, as the battle progresses and the hero exchanges damage with the foe, are ready to be used. Each Army and hero has different buffs and special effects, as does their units. It's probably easier for you to watch a YouTube video of a typical battle, as I'm not very good at explaining things.

Suffice to say, the battles- which make up the bulk of the game- become extremely enjoyable and by the end of the game you'll be a master of the combat. There are also small quests and puzzles to be completed throughout the game which add to the game time. These quests aren't usually lengthly and typically involve a challenging battle.

The game features challenging bosses at the end of each campaign, which can be rather difficult. However, most bosses can be defeated in one - three tries, and prove to be good, climatic ways to end each campaign.
Graphics and Sound: The graphics featured in Might and Magic are overly good, with clean and well designed 2D sprites. The relatively simplistic yet stylish graphics do well for the game and make it easier to match units in battle due to the distinct units and colours.

The music is great; the music quality is superb, and uses some of the music from heroes of might and magic v.
Overall: Might and Magic, Clash of heroes, is an excellent game on the Nintendo DS. It is a fun, challenging game. I was disappointed when the game finished. However; this is not because the game is short or anything, because in reality, the game will take you about 25 hours to complete. I was only disappointed because I didn't want it to end; I had become wholly addicted to Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes and was enjoying every minute of it; go pick it up so you can become addicted too.
