Just makes me want to say "Go Speed Racer, Go!"
The wide selection of vehicles is what makes this game stand out. Most racing games give you the opportunity to unlock a wide selection of cars or pickups . How many give you buses and garbage trucks? Racing with these makes life a little more interesting than just blazing through with the fastest car available.
The two downsides are the soundtrack and the "reality" of the vehicles. Overriding the existing soundtrack is easy, if a little time-consuming. That's why they put such a massive drive in the Xbox though. Most of the cars act the same except for speed. I can see how that could be an irritant, but I'm not enough of a gearhead to care.
I don't know what else to say. Just a solid racing game.
