When i got this game i thought that it was just going to be need for speed undercover but i was pleased to find after a few hours of playing that it is what need for speed always wanted to be: a hardcore arcade racer.

The driving is stuck firmly in the arcade sub genre yet it is still fun even for me, and i am a big fan of Gran Turismo. I have heard lots of criticism about the difficulty of the game but i have found that if you are behind by lots the game tends to compensate. I must say though, the races are all the same difficulty, being that the green races (easy) are just the same as the red races (hard) in terms of difficulty. This though is easy to overcome if you are a good driver and you are patient enough to occasionally accept defeat.

Even better however is the customization feature. This feature is so good that the worst looking car can be changed to look like a modern super car with dozens of options to make your cars bodywork stand out, the paint look like a true work of art and the vinyls to show off any artistic flair. Anyone can make there ride look amazing.

The Graphics are great. full stop.

To me there really aren't any real let downs for this game, just little niggles.

1. I think it would be cool if rockstar could release some more recent cars via dlc

2. All of the cars/parts/upgrades should be available at the start

Apart from that theres nothing extra.

Midnight club LA was much better than i thought. Full Stop.
