A great great transformation in graphics from MC 3 but is it as good?..Let's find out..

User Rating: 8.5 | Midnight Club: LA Remix PSP
First things first, Midnight club LA remix is a "remix: of the Version of the game for the PS3 and XBOX 360 consoles. It features a smaller, briefer version of LA, the same as in Midnight club II. You play as a middle aged man from the east coast who joins the LA racing scene. The opening video is classy with the game's various cars roaming the strees of LA. What comes next is simple, Pick a low cost ride, and make a name for yourself. However, the protagonist wants to beat his aquaintance in LA, the guy who intro'd you to the racing scene -Booke. Eventually, you earn respect, and finally get to beat that dude. But that's not it, You get invited to race the :Midnight club in Tokyo, which is the same as in MC II again.

Differences from ocnsole versions:

There are no cutscenes like the console versions.
Instead, the games conversations takes place through your mobile. Not bad. I still would have liked the cutscenes.

There are no cops looking for you. Occasionaly during raaces they appear and follow you. Mostly, bug you. 'Cuz all they do is bang into you and block you against a wall. That's it! No fine, no ticket, nothing.

LA as mentioned is smaller.

No pedestrians walking the roads.

Just a few landmarks, not all of them.

There is Tokyo.

No in-car view.

Cannot customize interior of the car

Civilian cars are all the same. Not distinguised ones like in the ocnsole versions.

Other notes:

The game has all the cars featured in the console versions. However they are divided between tokyo and LA.

The customization is not as deep as in the console versions. Hell its not as deep as even Midnight club 3 on the psp and that's severely disappointing.

Vinyls are lame and get boring. You cannot put a thousand vinyls on your car like the PS3 or XBOX version.

Review:

The game is beautiful in terms of visuals. The streets especially at sunset looks gorgeous.

However, the lack of deep customisation gets on your nerves. You eventually get bored looking at your car the same way all the time. You cant change it's look a thousand ways like you could in MC 3 or like MCLA.

You'll be addicted through ur first gameplay. Hard to put it down for a minute. Though once its over, there's nothing left to do.

The audio is awesome. The cars sound good and the game,as always, features a great soundtrack.

Not much variety of cars like in MC3. Just common, usual, brands you would expect from a street racing game.

The sense of speed of the game is awesome too. You will actually be scared to hit the NOS button and will think twic to hit it on a busy road.

The game's not too hard. Depends how you drive. Avoid the traffic, drift good, develop tactics and the race is yours to win.

The game's surely a great buy. Especcially if you are into racing games. HArd, fast, street racing.
But if you want deep deep customisation and really hard pimped out rides, i would suggest buying MC 3 instead of this. But this game is definitely better looking.
