Metal Gear Solid is hands down number one on my list of favorite games. It may be older than most MGS titles but that doesn't change anything or take anything away from the experience of playing.

One of my favorite things about MGS is the breaking of the 4th wall and the interactiveness with not just your environment but things like your controller, memory card, the CD case the game comes in. It all has a part in the game. However if you dont have those things you can still play with the exception of the controller. You cant play any game without a controller...just play the game and you'll see what i mean but make sure it's rumble enabled.

When it comes to complicated storytelling and in depth character development Metal Gear solid hits the nail on the head. Plenty of time is spent developing the characters personality's and how they tie into having something to do with you.

I could go on and on about how well done thing game is but the only real way for you to find out (if you haven't already) is to play the game. Forget the segregation's of console generations and sit back and let Metal Gear solid blow your mind over and over again.
