If you have a PlayStation 3, this is a no-brainer. Buy Metal Gear Solid 4. You have to!

Anyone who is anyone should have Metal Gear Solid 4 in their PS3 collection. This game was the reason to even purchase a PS3 with with good cause too. Metal Gear Solid 4 is probably the last good anticipated title that stayed exclusive to the PS3. This is not a game to be ignored. Especially if you played through the last 3 Metal Gear Solid titles. NO NO NO NO NO. Do NOT ignore this piece of work. This game shows what the PS3 can do. Metal Gear Solid 4 is an incredible game and all my questions were answered and I have some knowledge about the games now thanks to this one. You see some returning characters and my god, do they look better... I haven't seen Meryl since the first Metal Gear Solid and here she is appearing in MGS4. Vamp is another returning face from Metal Gear Solid 2 and you fight him again in this game, only this time, putting him away for good. Psycho Mantis appears again but with some even better nostalgia. No Memory Card for him this time but he still made the controller (move) vibrate. Want more nostalgia? Snake goes back to Shadow Moses and relives his Metal Gear Solid days. Even going as far as Otacon telling you to swap discs only this time, Otacon realizes that you're playing a PlayStation 3 with a dual layered Blu-ray disc. I was laughing on that part. I like the face camouflages where you can use Young Snake with or without the bandanna and even the polygonal Snake as first seen in Metal Gear Solid. One character who makes an appearance is Raiden. You will see him a few times in the game. Same with Rosemary and even Mei Ling who used to save your data with the frequency 140.96. Speaking of saving, you no longer use that frequency to save. You use the pause menu and go to the Save option. The camera is no longer fixed. You now have control of the camera in this game. You used to stick to walls by itself but now you press triangle when you approach a wall. Snake's suit is called OctoCamo. He can blend in with whatever he's exposed to so guards have difficulty spotting Old Snake. This is just an improved game on so many levels. Everything in the game was changed for the better and I was a fool for not playing the game earlier. Did you know that the game installs into the HDD after you complete a chapter (act)? well, it happens. Maybe it's for the best because games have a tendency to load faster when they get installed to the HDD. All I can say is this: After years of being on the battlefield, not knowing anything else but war, Snake deserves to rest. He earned it. No one deserves it more than Old Snake.
