The last game of the series which should have been a lot deeper than the last games, but the game is still fun.

User Rating: 8.5 | Mega Man Zero 4 GBA
It wasn't very long but sadly the Megaman Zero series comes to an end. Since the series is a sequel to the X series it marks the total end of any X series characters so Capcom should have provided fans with a good ending. The game showed great presentation but I think it was perhaps over hyped.

Story: Dr Wiel. The mad scientist who attempted to restart the elf wars now rules over Neo Arcadia after Copy X's assassination. Now Neo Arcadia reached such great height of dictatorship that even the humans who lived in Neo Arcadia began to fear Dr Weil, for any retaliation against Dr Weil and his army meant execution. A group of citizens managed to escape from the city, but Dr Weil's army caught up with them and doom seemed to be inevitable until rescue arrived from Zero and the resistance troop. Zero managed to successfully eliminate the pursuers; however something far from gratitude awaited the resistance. The citizens seemed to bare deep hatred on Reploids, because almost since the beginning of time Humans had to hide of fear from wars and battles caused by the Reploids. The citizen's leader, Niege, stepped up and thanked the resistance for their help but however warned them not to appear at their sites again. Niege explained how powerful and dangerous Dr Weil has become and why the citizens decided to flee. The citizens were heading to a secrete area and live there for the rest of their lives in peace. However Dr Weil cannot afford to have people retaliate against him and send out a group of Reploids lead by Kraft to proceed with operation Ragnorak. Ragnorak involved destroying the area from where Niege and the citizens were hiding in order to eliminate the humans and start mass producing a great army of Reploids to not only conquer the world, but the entire universe. It is up to Zero and resistance to help the citizens even if without their approvals.

Game design: The graphic art remains the same, quite disappointing if people were finally hoping for a new look for Zero. Zero was given a few new animations and the new stages are split in different dimensions. But if there is one thing to be excited about then it would be how the story is developing, in this game you learn of more of what happened in the past.

Game play: Zero will have his buster, saber and shield boomerang. The newest weapon is the Z knuckle. The Z knuckle will allow Zero to steal enemy weapons and use them for his own advantage. The cyber-elf system has been upgraded. The newest feature is the body part system. By collecting materials and mixing them in certain ways you can enhance some body parts of Zero. Another new system is the weather system. Using a weather generator you can choose the condition of stages to either raise or ease difficulty level. The different weather will also open up secret paths in the stages.

Sound: The music in this game is great but however no further changes were made.

This game is pretty much the same as the last one with just more upgrades and more stage layouts. Not the best dramatic ending for the Zero series especially when people were hoping for X to make a return. But at least the game itself is challenging.
