A really great game for the go!

Megaman & Bass is the final game of the classic series, the game was originally released for the SNES in Japan but never got a US release.
The game is long, especially for a handheld, and is incredibly fun!

Story: In the year 20XX a mysterious robot by the name of King emerged. King believed that robots are far superior species than human beings and does not see the need to obey them nor does he see the need for their existence.King decided to create a utopia ruled by robots.
King broke in Dr Light's robot museum in order to gain data to build his army.
Protoman arrived prior to Megaman but was easily defeated by King.
Megaman followed in pursuit however King escaped.
Now Megaman must find King and teach him the error of his ways.
Meanwhile Bass too had a confrontation with King, Bass took King's claim as the strongest robot in the world as an insult and decided to confront King and his Army before Megaman does in order to prove he only is the ultimate robot!

Game design: The game uses the same graphics from Megaman 8, so expect good visuals, however no Anime Cut scenes.
There are 8 robot masters to fight (some from MM8), there will be a special stage where you will need to destroy all crystals using weapons obtained from bosses, destroying these crystals will give you bonus Bolts which you can use in Auto's shop to buy new parts and you will need to destroy them all if you want to get to the last stage.
The game is now packed with content, with the many upgrades to develop and Data CDs to collect, which contain files of all characters from the Megaman series.
Unlike the SNES you can save your game normally rather than using the password system.

Game play: A new feature in the game is that you can play as 2 characters from the start of the game, Megaman and Bass.Megaman plays the same as usual, with his signature jump, slide and charge shots, Bass however is very different.Bass can perform a dash manoeuvre instead of a slide, although he won't be able to go through tight corners he can use the dash with a jump to do a jump dash, which can let him jump much further distance, Bass can also perform a double Jump.
Bass's Buster doesn't have charge shot capability however it has a much higher rapid firing rate.
Holding down the attack button will cause Bass to stand still and shoot like crazy, the shots can be directed in 8 different directions so there is nothing you can't hit, but each shot however is weak and considering bosses have their shields activated after taking a hit it will take a very long time to beat them with Bass.
Both characters gain weapons from boss but they are both the exact same.In certain stages there are places where one character can go through while the other can't, so if you want to unlock all content then you will have to go through stages as both Megaman and Bass, doubling the game play hour.

Sound: Although the quality of the music declined in the port from SNES to GBA the music is none the less still great and memorable.
No voices were added and sound affects don't exactly vary much.

Although the quality of the game isn't as great as the SNES it is still an incredibly fun game, especially for a handheld.
Adding 2 unique characters that have a certain section of a stage for their own and throwing in lots of content will make this game worth purchase.
However if only they would have done more in the sound department, like adding voices like they did in Megaman Zero and not make the sound affects sound almost the same.

Still the game is incredibly fun and I recommend GBA owners should give this game a try!
