Almost as good as the last entry into the series. Ability to slide & intro of the robot dog Rush make for nice addit

Mega Man 3 makes a good attempt to surpass the efforts of Mega Man 2 and almost does it, but doesn't quite make it. This game introduces a new cast of 8 robot masters and introduces a new sliding ability and your robot dog Rush. One of the first notable things I really enjoyed about this game more than the others was the soundtrack. If you wait to start the game and listen to the title screen music, it's just phenomenal. Overall, the soundtrack to the game and the sound effects have stepped things up a notch and it's easily noticeable.

The new slide ability works well and gets Mega Man into some hard to reach places. Rush is also a nice addition and has 3 creative uses as a spring to reach high up places, a marine vehicle to get through water areas, and a floating platform to reach awkward areas. These are all implemented very well.

The only thing this game lacks compared to the last game is that the bosses could have been just a bit cooler. That may sound strange but it's very hard to nitpick this game for how good it is. This is another solid entry into the Mega Man series and ranks right up there with Mega Man 2.
